Privacy Statement for "Word Search Perfected"

Word Search Perfected LogoIntroduction

We at Damoware respect your right to privacy and comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2002 (Ireland). The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to outline how we deal with any information collected while you use our Word Search Perfected application for Android™. Naturally, if you are not happy with this Privacy Statement you should not use this application.

Type of Information Collected

Like many other applications, we gather statistical and other analytical information collected on an aggregate basis from all users of our application. This Non-Personal Data comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you. It includes, for example, demographic information derived from anonymised IP addresses, basic device and system information, other anonymous statistical data involving the use of our application, and information about errors that occur during the operation of the application. We do not collect or retain any personal data that could be used to identify you.

Purposes for which We Hold Your Information

We use the Non-Personal Data gathered from users of our application in an aggregate form to get a better understanding of where our users come from, to determine what types of devices are most popular, and to help us better design and organise our application. Some examples will help you to understand why this information is of use to us:

  • Information about what countries our users come from can help us to determine if supporting new languages within the application would be popular.
  • Information about devices, such as the screen resolution and operating system version, can help us to focus our development and testing efforts to best effect.
  • Information about unexpected errors in the application, such as crashes or other failures, can help us to identify and fix bugs in the application.
  • Information about the average scores/times for games played at each difficulty level and size can help us to verify that the challenge increases consistently and to adjust the application if needed.
  • Information about what values are most popular in the application's settings can help us to choose what default values to use for first-time users.
  • Information about the use of features, such as sharing scores, or defining words, can help us to determine if these features are useful to our users, or if development efforts would be better directed elsewhere. It can also help us to determine if some features are popular and should be made easier to access, of if some features are not so popular and could be removed or relegated to make room for new features.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

We may provide Non-Personal Data to third parties, where such information is combined with similar information of other users of our application. For example, we might inform third parties regarding the number of unique users of our application, the demographic breakdown of our users, or how users engage with our application. The third parties to whom we may provide this information may include potential or actual advertisers, providers of advertising services (including application tracking services), commercial partners, sponsors, licensees, researchers and other similar parties.

Sale of Business

We reserve the right to transfer information to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of our business provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Statement.

Changes to the Privacy Statement

Any changes to this Privacy Statement will be posted on this website so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Statement is governed by the laws of Ireland and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
